Dr. Victor Sun combines an engineer’s precision with compassionate dental care. Originally from California, he earned degrees in biomedical engineering at UC Irvine before completing his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After dental school, Dr. Sun commissioned as a dental officer in the United States Air Force and completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. For seven years, he cared for Airmen and their families at bases across the U.S. and the U.K., even serving roles outside of dentistry. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he helped administer vaccines, and when he deployed to the U.A.E. as the Inspector General, he coordinated readiness exercises and handled inspections and complaints. He also led triage teams during mass casualty drills, developing skills in crisis management and leadership. Dr. Sun’s military background has shaped his calm, organized approach to patient care. Now based in Ithaca, where his wife works at Cornell University, he focuses on conservative, technology-driven treatments that maximize tooth longevity. When he’s not seeing patients, he enjoys cooking, making coffee, and traveling with his wife.
Dr. Eric Chen is a general dentist dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs. Before entering dentistry, Dr. Chen served as a volunteer firefighter, an experience that shaped his strong commitment to putting the well being of others first. His time in the fire service taught him the importance of staying calm under pressure, assessing complex situations carefully, making critical decisions, and earning the trust of the people who depend on him. Dr. Chen brings these same qualities to dentistry. He takes time to listen to each patient, understand their concerns, explain treatment options clearly, and make thoughtful clinical decisions based on both immediate needs and long term oral health. He believes that excellent care requires not only technical skill, but also sound judgment, compassion, clear communication, and a genuine sense of responsibility toward every patient. Dr. Chen earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and completed a General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York City. There, he gained experience in comprehensive dentistry, dental emergencies, and caring for patients from diverse backgrounds. His goal is to help patients achieve healthy, confident smiles while emphasizing prevention, trust, and lasting oral health. Outside the office, Dr. Chen enjoys traveling, staying active, exploring new foods, and spending time with family, friends, and his two cats. He also has a well known sweet tooth and enjoys discovering new dessert spots. He looks forward to exploring the Ithaca area, one restaurant and ice cream stand at a time.
Originally from Greece, Dr. Evangelos Rossis brings to his practice values shaped by Greece’s rich intellectual and cultural traditions. The Greek appreciation for beauty, balance, and proportion, including the classical ideal of the golden ratio, informs his thoughtful approach to creating smiles that are healthy, natural, and harmonious with each patient’s individual features. Equally important are the Greek traditions of strong family relationships, personal connection, and generous hospitality, which inspire him to make every patient feel welcomed, respected, and cared for. Dr. Rossis earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry before completing a General Practice Residency at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. There, he gained extensive experience caring for medically complex patients and managing dental emergencies, implant restorations, oral surgery, endodontics, and comprehensive dental rehabilitation. Dr. Rossis takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain treatment options clearly, and develop individualized plans that support long term oral health. He believes that excellent dentistry requires not only technical skill, but also empathy, communication, trust, and respect. Outside the office, Dr. Rossis enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures, spending time with family, and continuing to expand his knowledge through professional education. He is excited to serve the Ithaca community and looks forward to welcoming patients with warmth, building lasting relationships, and helping individuals and families achieve healthy, confident smiles.
